February 25, 1941: Today the “1941 February Strike” is remembered in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was exactly 73 years that the Communist Party of the Netherlands, then illegal, called for a general strike to resist the persecution of Jewish people. More than 300,000 people participated in the strike. It is considered to be one of the biggest acts of resistance in the Netherlands during the Nazi occupation.
